Australian Association of Special Education (AASE)
AASE is a broad-based non-categorical association concerned with all who have special education needs.
AASE is represented by State Chapters in each state and terrority across Australia and is managed by the National Council comprising of representatives of each state and territory.
AASE organises a very successful and informative National Conference each year.
In 2015 AASE will be teaming up with WAESPAA to present a joint National Conference. This year’s Conference will be held at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges on Thursday, 27th and Friday, 28th August, 2015.
AASE hosts a wealth of documents and helpful resources that are posted by our chapters around Australia.
AASE Annual General Meeting is to be held in Fremantle on Saturday 29th of August 2015.

2015 AASE National Research Award
The AASE National Research Award of $10,000 is offered for research which can support evidence based practice in the education of students with special needs.
Applications for the 2015 AASE National Research Award are now open. Submissions are due by Friday, 26th June, 2015.

2015 Lee Mills Award
Applications for the 2015 Lee Mills Award are open until Wednesday, 30th September. The Lee Mills Teacher Training Award is given yearly with the express purpose of encouraging research based practice by individuals undertaking study to pursue a career directly related to the education of students with special education needs.
